Literally go after all NFA items

2019-12-30 04:06:33 UTC

I'm not legally savvy

2019-12-30 04:06:44 UTC

I kinda am

2019-12-30 04:06:54 UTC

Keep in mind I’m self taught 😎

2019-12-30 04:06:59 UTC

But as I understand it

2019-12-30 04:07:40 UTC

In the 70s congress passed the federal agency act (I think that’s what it was called) allowing federal agencies to enforce agency policy as if it was law

2019-12-30 04:07:56 UTC

Super non democratic

2019-12-30 04:08:20 UTC

Total repeal of the NFA

2019-12-30 04:08:47 UTC

Basically any administrative body in an agency (none of whom are democratically elected) can make up rules on a whim and enforce those rules as law with government backing

2019-12-30 04:09:17 UTC

@Jedimind11[XB1] That explains how the ATF makes up shit and can enforce it even though no laws passed

2019-12-30 04:09:24 UTC

Exactly

2019-12-30 04:09:55 UTC

@Itcilis That's a wet dream of mine

2019-12-30 04:09:57 UTC

Or the FDA

2019-12-30 04:10:19 UTC

Or how they can try and bring a guy to court for selling 80% lowers and charging people for classes on finishing them. Since he technically didn’t sell them a full firearm by the ATFs definition the ATF was gonna lose the court case

2019-12-30 04:10:44 UTC

A judge (this was Cali) Warned them that they’d lose thus setting legal precedent

2019-12-30 04:10:51 UTC

So they dropped the case

2019-12-30 04:11:04 UTC

Which is SUPER corrupt and should not be a legal thing.

2019-12-30 04:11:17 UTC

Getting advanced notice of a verdict and dropping a case

2019-12-30 04:11:34 UTC

Fucking Cali

2019-12-30 04:11:39 UTC

What a shithole

2019-12-30 04:12:03 UTC

Preventing that legal precedent let’s the ATF avoid future cases where someone could do the same and be legally protected because a court precedent would overshadow their policies

2019-12-30 04:12:16 UTC

I swear the courts and the ATF are buddy buddies with each other

2019-12-30 04:12:43 UTC

Seen so many guns cases where the fucking court is biased with the ATF and rules in their favor

2019-12-30 04:12:51 UTC

Since In a common law system (that’s our legal system) court decisions are interpreted as actual law or rather how we are supposed to interpret law

2019-12-30 04:13:35 UTC

Give me 2 minutes to freshen up on the NFA history before I say some thing wrong

2019-12-30 04:13:42 UTC

This is coming full circle don’t worry

2019-12-30 04:13:47 UTC

Sounds good

2019-12-30 04:14:23 UTC

Ok so as I understand it

2019-12-30 04:14:38 UTC

The NFA was passed as a way of classifying and better taxing firearms

2019-12-30 04:14:49 UTC

It wasn’t gun control

2019-12-30 04:17:22 UTC

The NFA itself only prohibits 2 things. Silencers and automatic weapons. Which automatic weapons was in response to the Valentine’s Day massacre

2019-12-30 04:17:41 UTC

And silencers I heard was due to poachers?

2019-12-30 04:17:45 UTC

Just a rumor

2019-12-30 04:17:56 UTC

I’m not sure personally

2019-12-30 04:18:06 UTC

But I’m sure a quick google search will tell me

2019-12-30 04:18:12 UTC

Heard people were poaching anyway during the great depression

2019-12-30 04:18:20 UTC

That’s besides the point

2019-12-30 04:18:28 UTC

Personally I believe automatic weapons should be legal for any citizen to get

2019-12-30 04:18:37 UTC

@Itcilis Fucking this^

2019-12-30 04:19:12 UTC

And arguments can be made for that but let’s not lose focus

2019-12-30 04:20:18 UTC

The NFA was created to curtail the access to automatic weapons by criminals since that was, at the time, the only people who used them. And to make money off firearm manufacturing and sales
