@K▲ISER It's much more difficult for the average immigrant to consider themselves "German" or "French" than it is for them to consider themselves "American". This is what I mean by identity. Most Arab immigrants consider themselves to be "American," and every second and so forth generation couldn't possibly consider themselves to be anything other than American.
It's far easier for them to integrate into American society.
Perhaps because "American" as a nationality has a much more inclusive meaning to it as opposed to any European identity.
It's much easier to think of an African to be American than German, for example.
Is what you're saying?
@K▲ISER Why is it harder for someone to self-identify as a German?
One issue that many Aut-Right crusader larpers have is, they call for a "United Europe" based on a shared identity. Anyone with even so much as an elementary-level understanding of European History will know how idiotic this truly is. There's no such thing. Hell, most Bavarians don't even consider themselves to be German. Same with Catalonians and the rest of Spain. The notion of a shared, "European Identity" is nothing more than a delusion shared by those ignorant of their own history.
@kArL#8084 It's harder for an immigrant to idenitfy as German.
...Since when did the concept of a United Europe come into this?
We're on the question of identity, and this is a highly pertinent observation.
I'm just saying I'd like to keep France French, Germany German, the UK British, etc.
Integration is much easier in the US, and partly due to the fact that there is a "shared identity".
Not so in Europe.
Europe has always been a sectarian shitfest, and this plays a crucial role in the difficulty of immigrants to assimilate.

@Shabeer ☪#0549 Not really
@Deleted User Would you agree that allowing these mostly Maghrebi/Arab migrants to mostly be flowing into other Maghrebi/Arab countries would not cause as many problems as letting them go to Europe, though?
@K▲ISER Yes, I can certainly agree.
Then therein lies the problem,
The Arab world has always been very inter-connected, and I'm certain they would have no problem integrating.
We shouldn't be letting them into Europe in massive numbers, rather we should fix the places they're already in to make it more attractive for them to go to instead of Europe.
A sort of Marshall Plan for the Middle East and North Africa, that is.
