Explain.
Iran’s main export oil was controlled by U.K. and American oil
Companys
Iran was a was democracy and one point and elected a politician that was against this
And?
And when then couped by a dictator backed by the U.K. and and us goverment
Didnt some Iranian president believe 9/11 was an inside job? lol
Proof that the US and UK government backed him?
The 1953 Iranian coup d'état, known in Iran as the 28 Mordad coup d'état (Persian: کودتای ۲۸ مرداد), was the overthrow of the democratically elected Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh in favour of strengthening the monarchical rule of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi on 19 August 1953, orchestrated by the United Kingdom (under the name "Operation Boot") and the United States (under the name TPAJAX Project[5] or "Operation Ajax").[6][7][8][9]
How did they orchestrate it exactly?
"Britain instigated a worldwide boycott of Iranian oil to pressure Iran economically"
Do you want me to tread the article for you? They probably gave the guy financial and political support
No, I'd rather you give me a summary. Political support and financial support how?
Hmm its pretty interesting, thanks for the information it was pretty educational. But Im still not convinced that it would happen to my country nor do I think its as big as a threat as real war.
You live in a democracy?
Of course
Republic democracy
Do you not think if a country with a lot of money to spend could possibly influence your political scene especially if they had major economic ties with your country?
Politics? Yes. Economics no. My country is kind of socialist in the sense that they want poor people to be paid for by tax payers. I wouldnt call it truly socialist though.
Countries like America obviously influences my country
Yes but not in this case
The6 can elect people put in policy’s supportive of there interests
A dictator isnt going to rise up just because another country has more money than us
No they cant
not here
Its not a middle eastern country
Sure your country is aligned with the eu they don’t need it
Its pretty first world and my country clearly has learned from the past
But if you were more politically isolated and didn’t the whole of Europe as your market...
I'd prefer we werent in the EU but obviously we would lose alot of money
What?
Ok so mAybe you don’t like the eu
And?
But you did understand the alternatives are not piticurly appealing either
Of course. The choice goes down to my people.
Either choice will be respected.
Ok
I can tell you this though
They're certainly not going to be able to put a dictator in charge or anything
