just because it was invented in a private sector doesn't mean that being private was the reason it was made. scientists don't care if you're being funded by the government or investors, they're just doing their job.
@seer That's the pharmaxeutical products though, as in stuff that can be mass produced with little innovation or change, and the stuff that is changed, is stuff like anti biotics which become irrelevant over time.

@ashoka To be fair, the soviet union and china is renowned for being extremely low quality and cheaply produced, which ironically led to them becoming capitalist.
They have to do with what they have. China have to import steel since there's little good steel in their country, and Russia has always had a history of being poor thanks largely to their geography. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Even if china has their steel imported, their quality control is almost non existant, leading to shitty products, which was obviously done to minimise causts and maximise profits, china is the most dependant on oil, to the point where they imperialize african countries for it, I wonder what will happen to them once things change and oil becomes costly.
