sf?

2018-10-06 08:37:45 UTC

San-Francisco

2018-10-06 08:38:14 UTC

wondered?

2018-10-06 08:38:31 UTC

USA looks like a huge getto outside of SF and NY

2018-10-06 08:38:36 UTC

mhmm

2018-10-06 08:38:40 UTC

don't live in america

2018-10-06 08:38:47 UTC

There is also San-Diego but it's small.

2018-10-06 08:39:03 UTC

but cities have more of a problem

2018-10-06 08:39:33 UTC

the homeless tend to congregate into rich cities for a reason

2018-10-06 08:40:01 UTC

20 min outside of SF the hell starts and it never ends

2018-10-06 08:40:33 UTC

back to the original topic, how would quality of life be measured?

2018-10-06 08:42:37 UTC

this is gonna be a longer answer

2018-10-06 08:42:39 UTC

lmao

2018-10-06 08:43:57 UTC

Knowing USA statistic it's a good idea to take homeless, people on government support and a majority of working men into account on wages. 50k is spread between CEO and a taxi driver. CEO gets 49.999 from 50k and a driver gets 0.001. That is a median statistics

2018-10-06 08:45:27 UTC

I know a girl working 3 jobs in high wage city(SF) and living with 4 roommates because she can't afford anything else.

2018-10-06 08:45:30 UTC

uhh no

2018-10-06 08:45:37 UTC

median doesn't work lke that

2018-10-06 08:46:01 UTC

Why not?

2018-10-06 08:47:54 UTC

It seems like a war is going on outside of few wealthy cities.

2018-10-06 08:48:04 UTC

you said the ceo gets 49k from 50k?

2018-10-06 08:48:09 UTC

Yes

2018-10-06 08:48:31 UTC

that's how it would be

2018-10-06 08:48:33 UTC

tnot

2018-10-06 08:48:37 UTC

not*

2018-10-06 08:48:56 UTC

What's wrong with it?

2018-10-06 08:49:34 UTC

say if you work in a company

2018-10-06 08:49:59 UTC

add all the wages in that company and divide by 2, that would be the median

2018-10-06 08:51:16 UTC

So if you add 49.999 to 0.001 and divide on two how much is going to be?

2018-10-06 08:51:41 UTC

the argument against this is that the median can be strewed by outliers

2018-10-06 08:51:53 UTC

How much?

2018-10-06 08:52:01 UTC

depends on the wage difference

2018-10-06 08:52:14 UTC

49.999 and 0.001

2018-10-06 08:52:25 UTC

say if the boss earns 200k and the workers 10k

2018-10-06 08:52:28 UTC

add it up

2018-10-06 08:52:50 UTC

and it would look like the workers earn an avg of 105k

2018-10-06 08:52:57 UTC

Genious

2018-10-06 08:52:59 UTC

which is false

2018-10-06 08:53:44 UTC

So why do you present to me the median income?

2018-10-06 08:53:54 UTC

If its false?

2018-10-06 08:53:55 UTC

only way we have

2018-10-06 08:54:06 UTC

On;y way you have is false?
