I can't say I agree. Like I said, the issue I take most with Socialism is the materialist attitude that things are necessarily as they should be and everything that happened has a "place" in history.

Not everything that happened has a place. But development of Imperialism is logical

I do think the general idea of Materialism makes sense though, don't blame things on surface level stuff. I don't blame the "badness" of the middle east on their culture.

As for Imperialism, I also cannot agree. Development o Imperialism only benefited the Imperialists. The countries that were victim to it gained nothing. Africa and India got looted to no end and lost so many resources.
