I don’t have anything against hispanics personally
but if my state went from 95% white to only 45%, I would be a little put off

@Sisyphus i think if you champion diversity that means preserving the white race. we are a global minority after all. and you could always put the shoe on the other foot for any other race too. and ensuring that we have different races means that we will be able to keep our characteristic genetic diversity that has allowed our population to survive for so long

it’s good to have some white places, some asian places, some hispanic places, etc

by keeping our cultures somewhat separated, we’re able to preserve what makes them great

that’s not to say that culture should be a brick wall you can’t go past
sharing cultures is half the fun
but keeping a strong sense of identity is important to keeping those cultures strong enough to be worth sharing

thats precisely it. I mean thats pretty much the whole basis of tourism. Chinese tourists want to come visit the Statue of Liberty and New York, and Chicago because they want an authentic American experience not a Chinese one. Or maybe an American wants to immerse himself in Japan. Anti-Globalism.
@PugSlugger assimilation is possible, freedom of association, no discrimination or societal taboos in regards to race is ideal. But i think a solid 75% majority would be okay

that’s why i think balance is good
it allows cultures to overlap and blend without becoming completely swamped out by each other

I’m not saying we *need* it
I think a beige humanity would still be capable of surviving, and that new cultures would inevitably spring out among them
but i think it’s good to have

In theory i think America could work (or any country ran similarly) for people of any race regardless of skin color. Again i think the racial balance is to preserve white in the future. America is still currently the nation with the largest amount white people in it and being only what like 7% of the global population i think its fair to retain as a hive for white people @Sisyphus

Okay. Thats fair. But when saying "race does not matter" do you really mean that? I mean. Imagine you're a doctor. You now have to make medical decisions. Would you really ignore the difference in the higher prevalence of sickle cell among blacks versus whites because you think there are no differing racial components at all that constitute any kind of merit to study or discuss?

Of course there are scientific exceptions to the rule

It’s not so much that there’s a “problem” with racial asymmetry
I’m just saying that it would be a hard change from the current status quo, and that I’m relatively happy with how things are now, so I’m somewhat resistant to that uncertain change.

I won’t even say “resistant” because it’s not like there’s much I can or will do to fight it or anything

This topic really falls down to how someone feels about it. I, as European, would never allow my country become majority anything else then white. But thats just how I feel it down in my heart. I assume, that races are diffrent, but I would not put that as my argument for keeping my nation white.

Although I will say I’m really not worried about the country’s diversity rates
because I almost never leave my tri-state area, and it’s like 95% white
and even in the future projections, my state holds up over 80%
so I’m not worried about “The Browning” either way
