So it started out with your party taking a random quest from a board that requires you to meet a place and be picked up a night,during that time,an agent will poison the food and y'all are knocked out and stripped of all gear. wake up and your in shackles on a boat,all chained together and brought to a island to mine crystals for a necromancer

its a really jagged island,there is a active volcano in one corner and the other is a small blackish blue stone compound,everythings kinda grey,there is smog and its just really grim and ashes all over the place,necromancer has been turning what live work force he has there into undead warriors,aftey the work in the mines

so party is to either escape or kill this fucking before he finishes he mutation and teleports away

the area is ripe with a natural chaotic magic,so there is thunderstorms of erratic magic spells,sometimes fucking poison bolts of lightning,sometimes tornados of fire, sometimes whatever creatures that had lived there become reanimated for a bit and go apeshit before they die again, its a really fucked up place

the necromancers name is Malothymus,and he's a highborn elf that was sent to exile for this very shit, coming from a noble house that shit was shunned on

so he kinda sucks at higher arcane shit but he's okay with the dead folks

I wrote it that there are a few ways to escape

Either wait for the magic storm to shit a portal or
and these are based on the characters back story
1.) Escape by boat,and this place is pretty far off,so I was going to have them roll for me and determine where they landed,anyone that had sea experience was going to get buffs in that roll and the outcome would be more generous
2.) anyone that had magic knowledge could try their hand at the magic mirror portal thing he had, and depending on anyones magic history they could do the same as above

there was a 3rd i was going to inclue depending on if the party was ballsy enough to get to the other side of the island

was that there are pathways carved into the volcano,and it takes you to some ruins and you'd just go further into the planet and fight whatever is lurking underneath this place

which is actually a semi-godlike ancient being,thats asleep under the volcano,he's like kinda half in that realm and in another,and his dreams,across both planes,is causing the magic storm
