Read it, I beg you

2019-11-28 03:11:26 UTC

In a cosmic sense, yes. But then why of us do anything then? Why didn't we stop at primordial soup, instead of becoming all that is around us today. You must take the pleasure and painnof the microcosm, not the macro. Go down to the smallest point that has meaning, because there is meaning there at its base level

2019-11-28 03:13:18 UTC

But building lasting things is what matters. Family, bloodlines, traditions, inventions, ect. Look back at the earliest of humans. They are gone, and no one alive knew them. Yet we came from them, they are a part of us. Their art lives on, and so do they in a sense

2019-11-28 03:13:41 UTC

@thedarkness05 we might do things for absolutely nothing

2019-11-28 03:14:00 UTC

Believing there's a meaning wont make it true

2019-11-28 03:15:25 UTC

Having a legacy even knowing there's nothing after death does not make any sense AT ALL.
If you imply there's a meaning, why does it have one?

2019-11-28 03:15:52 UTC

No, there's meaning because I create it. I have seen the ripples of my actions for the better and worse. Something small I might have done might have meant the world to someone. Same goes for others. I used to dip int the cosmic nothingness as well. But you need to pull yourself back from that.

2019-11-28 03:16:54 UTC

And the legacy after death jazz, is all about leaving something more or better for your kids and theirs. Thats what I mean by legacy. It dosent have to be anything grand

2019-11-28 03:18:10 UTC

The things we build are made to fulfill our ego. We might think there's meaning in something when we're alive, but it dissapear when we die. When you place you in a situation that you'll never exist anymore, you'd think the same way, cuz you're in a perspective of someone who's alive

2019-11-28 03:20:39 UTC

Not entirely true with the ego thing, unless you're talking Freudian style. And nah man, I've walked the edge of death a few times. Ive also seen what it does to people. And the things that they left behind, they still have meaning. They still caused an impact

2019-11-28 03:21:10 UTC

It doesn't matter if I leave something good or bad for someone, they'll die the same way. Hope I'm wrong about the afterlife

2019-11-28 03:23:29 UTC

Ok like for instance, my cousin had a friend that while out on a big backpacking trip slipped down a raveine while helping others. He died almost imstantly. Now in his honor she and her family set up a foundation that gets youth from NYC out to the wilderness. He might be dead and gone and nothing, but he lives on. He does so because I know of him now, only after his death. And look what his legacy is. Im leaving out details, and it's a small foundation, but its something

2019-11-28 03:25:07 UTC

Earth will be swallowed by Sun in some millions of years, why does it matter anyways?

2019-11-28 03:25:16 UTC

As well as our galaxy

2019-11-28 03:26:49 UTC

You're thinking cosmically again, work towards thinking microcosm. Because the farther out you go the less it matters. Think and live in the now, and by that I mean a lifespan. Its what we were made for

2019-11-28 03:27:46 UTC

I try to be more optimistic but at this point the way I see it is if nothing matters, why not try to have fun? Like @thedarkness05 says create your own meaning, even if it’s temporary

2019-11-28 03:29:39 UTC

Not gonna lie thats when I started being really happy, when I stopped caring what others thought and did what I wanted to do.

2019-11-28 03:31:13 UTC

That was definitely a big part of it for me as well. Stop worrying about other people’s perceptions and expectations. Do what makes you happy. And if you don’t know what that is, put yourself out there and try something new. The hard part is getting up and going

2019-11-28 03:39:24 UTC

"Life in the now"

2019-11-28 03:39:35 UTC

Everybody tells me the same thing

2019-11-28 03:39:58 UTC

Not being rude, but its no fucking easy task

2019-11-28 03:41:03 UTC

If it was, everyone would do it. Its hard my dude, not gonna lie. But if you need help or stumble, we got your back

2019-11-28 03:44:03 UTC

Its hard because it doesn't make sense at all

2019-11-28 03:44:23 UTC

It really doesn't

2019-11-28 03:44:48 UTC

No life has meaning if you think there's nothing after death

2019-11-28 03:45:53 UTC

A lot of elder people suffer thinking they'll cease to exist

2019-11-28 03:47:47 UTC

You stop being an atheist when you get a gun pointed towards you

2019-11-28 03:48:16 UTC

Big reason I said its no easy task

2019-11-28 03:49:18 UTC

Tbh I just find other stuff to think about

2019-11-28 03:49:49 UTC

Believe me I’ve had all these same thoughts run through my mind, but it just doesn’t do anything good for me. So I find other stuff to focus on

2019-11-28 03:50:06 UTC

It’s been good enough to power me through so far.

2019-11-28 03:50:43 UTC

Sitting alone with my thoughts all the time is really depressing. My dad says the same thing. We occupy ourselves with other things to do.

2019-11-28 05:50:38 UTC

@Sir Harndes boy if ya want to be gone remember who would do yeeehaaa durning big igloo if not you
