Don't get me wrong I have nothing but love for the Belgian freedom boi, but when it comes to a combat situation, people tend to favor aesthetic over functionality and practical necessity

This is the biggest reason I love the AK platform

It's a remarkable piece of machinery that doesn't jam, doesn't overheat, and unless you literally do everything you can to abuse it, won't fail in a combat environment

It's so simple to operate a child can do it, and they often do in Africa

And because of the cold war and the Russo-Afghan war, it's the most common weapon in the world

I actually had a buddy who met a few russians and apparently they are the polar opposite of us, they prefer the armalite and western standards over their own
