Mom is getting fucked by the IRS so I'm moving out so she can rent out my room to cover it
I'm gonna live with my s/o until I ship for Parris Island in December
Noice
Eh. It's not bad. Just stressful.
Moving always is, but best of luck. I hope to step on those yellow footprints soon
Have you been to MEPS yet?
No. No one will talk to me past the initial interview, need to drop my weight a good bit
How much do you weigh?
250. Need to be at 210 for 6'4
Where do you carry most of it?
Stomach and upper chest. Although I've lost a lot of inches off my body the last 8 months, the scale hasnt moved any
Cardio. Run like a motherfucker. Focus on burning calories and fat.
Yep, I've been doing it. Slow going, but progress is progress. Running 5 days a week, plus all the miles at work
Add a little weight
Like to a pack or somethin
I do have a weight vest, I'll throw on 10~20 my next outing. Doing 7 miles tomorrow before work
Gotcha
Also be careful about building too much muscle
I'm trying not to, but still have to meet the standards, ya know?
Oh no doubt but I've seen dudes get failed due to muscle weight
It should be
But hey, thats common sense. And you just cant have that in the corps
Youre not wrong
They only make blues in one size, uncomfortable
Idk, my CAP blues were pretty sweet. They were very kind to me in high school
Dress blues aren't bad Tbh but you're not supposed to breathe in them
We got them extra tailored for color guard. Theres a pic waaaaaay up there of my winning NY wing team
I saw
But if I had to rank blues it'd be usmc, air force, army, navy. Coast guard gets a partcipation trophy
You're not wrong
If the army actual switches back to to ww2 uniform. It wouldnt be so bad
Then they might move up. Those pink and greens are classic
Did you ever seen the older gloves?
I dont think I have
I think they were phased out in the late 90's
I only remember because when I was little my dad would talk mad shit about the army's dress uniform lol
Can't relate. First in my family to consider the military. Which is weird when your parents are a doctor and an engineer lol
It's like that sometimes
Pretty much everyone but my grandpa on my mom's side served
He became a preacher
