2019-09-22 22:12:53 UTC

Thinking like that is why the poor stay poor and the rich stay rich

2019-09-22 22:13:07 UTC

Should be based on land, and the things you have

2019-09-22 22:13:16 UTC

Technically it is

2019-09-22 22:13:19 UTC

man we should have a debate channel

2019-09-22 22:13:22 UTC

@Hellhound6 we had that kind of wealth system at one point

2019-09-22 22:13:24 UTC

@AKAlexei I think that's a semantics argument, I consider investing as giving money to the company through stock or % ownership

2019-09-22 22:13:31 UTC

I kn9w

2019-09-22 22:13:32 UTC
2019-09-22 22:13:34 UTC

2019-09-22 22:13:47 UTC

Autism

2019-09-22 22:14:03 UTC

Basically "if you cant afford to invest it sucks to be you stay poor"

2019-09-22 22:14:04 UTC

I see we are having an in depth discussion on economics

2019-09-22 22:14:14 UTC

@Foxhound do you have more than $1 in your bank?

2019-09-22 22:14:27 UTC

why don't you invest it?

2019-09-22 22:14:31 UTC

get a robinhood

2019-09-22 22:14:47 UTC

do research into emerging companies, and invest in them

2019-09-22 22:14:51 UTC

I mean invest in certain guns and armor

2019-09-22 22:14:54 UTC

Just sayib

2019-09-22 22:14:56 UTC

oof

2019-09-22 22:15:06 UTC

2019-09-22 22:15:12 UTC

Like stocks

2019-09-22 22:15:13 UTC

LOL

2019-09-22 22:15:30 UTC

damn son

2019-09-22 22:15:36 UTC

But what should take place instead is that people need to start finding ways to create worker owned businesses with councils that help to ensure that the employees actually control their working environments. Bureaucracy and some "hierarchy" is necessary due to specialization (like if there's one dude who knows about company insurance policies he should be the one to tend to that), but for the most part, people should have control over their workplace. I don't believe in seizing the means because it historically fails, but I do believe it needs to grow organically

2019-09-22 22:15:51 UTC

nothing stops you from doing that right now you know

2019-09-22 22:15:57 UTC

excuse me, very little does

2019-09-22 22:16:42 UTC

Lack of capital, lack of production line, and more than likely, regulation

2019-09-22 22:17:03 UTC

that's a very good point

2019-09-22 22:17:06 UTC

so the issue is: How do you raise capital for a corp?

2019-09-22 22:17:24 UTC

production line comes from capital

2019-09-22 22:17:30 UTC

regulation can come from within the company

2019-09-22 22:18:11 UTC

oops, typo fixed

2019-09-22 22:18:30 UTC

Not everyone can afford to invest you fucking autist. This is literally what makes people *Hate* the system you seem to support because they cannot get ahead. Konot is losing his home and risking life and limb. I'm losing my home and scrambling to find one. How dare you sit there and say "Have you not a dollar? Why, you should invest it!" That's retarded. Given the choice between a stock that might pay out or might fail altogether against actually being able to eat and afford my needs? I'll chose the latter thank you. Put your faith in banks and stocks. If financial collapse hits, itll be the poor coming after your blood and after the blood of those that betrayed our very life for the Almighty Dollar.

2019-09-22 22:18:32 UTC

I should've been clearer in my statement. Regulation as in government regulation; I don't know for certain, but I'm almost positive that there are government regulations in place that make it difficult for a truly workers run business to come to fruition

2019-09-22 22:19:16 UTC

Also, Deaths Head, just to be clear since I know I haven't updated people much? But it's no longer a losing my home situation. I HAVE lost my home

2019-09-22 22:19:25 UTC

Just wanted to be clear

2019-09-22 22:19:37 UTC

I think that so long as everyone is on the ownership contract, it works out. Granted, the contract/legality isn't gonna be easy

2019-09-22 22:19:41 UTC

That simply strengthens my point.
