lets crucify him
sic semper tyranis andrew
PR= Cities dictating everything, rural becomes irrelevant, as do large swathes of land outside of capitals and major cities
When has democracy ever been enforced??
If more people live in the cities
Then sure
Citizens decide who runs their nation
FPTP= regional leadership that represents at parliament/office, meaning every area in the country gets someone at the table
Not geographical distribution of the population
The UK has literally been enforcing democracy for centuries, but only here on our island, fuck the rest of the world <:PepeLaugh:565528391336329216>
"uk"
"democracy"
Germany after WW2
tbh the uk was one of the slowest nation to adopt anything resembling democracy
fucking france became democratic before the uk
Literally had 3 civil wars over this, many religious wars, a couple of world wars, and the biggest vote in our democratic hsitory 3 years ago, that was reinforced with the GE not 3 weeks ago <:shrug:349342983763656705>
<:thistbh:582698435896147978>
so your nation is incompetent and cant keep its government in order
😉
The parliamentary system is weird. And it’s even weirder in the UK.
I wouldn’t say it’s more democratic that the US.
Disagree. Germany was later than the UK and Russia as well
@Storin Excluding the fact the UK isn't a democracy but a constitutional monarchy.
Actually our government is answerable to people far more than most nations <:PepeLaugh:565528391336329216>
@Sham00e mixed bag
If you don't believe that ask Corbyn <:pot_of_kek:544849795433496586>
germany has had democratic states since before england existed
Germany is the least democratic in Europe imo
germany wasnt in a united form till late so it shouldnt be counted
same thing with italy, very very old democratic states
the volk law is more important than individual sovereignty
Anyways the argument of "regional representation" is quite braindead
People vote, not land
the thought of people like andrew being able to vote is braindead
If more people live in area x than area y then area x should obviously have a bigger say in the democratic process
yeah is that how that works andrew?
