revolt against people that like sargoy

2019-12-30 00:47:23 UTC

The word 'democracy' has its origins in the Greek language. It combines two shorter words: 'demos' meaning whole citizen living within a particular city-state and 'kratos' meaning power or rule. Care to explain this @Storin

2019-12-30 00:47:23 UTC

Very nice

You literally don't know anything dude, don't talk about democracy until you have read about its implementation across the millenia <:PepeLaugh:565528391336329216>

2019-12-30 00:47:44 UTC

Because the one you are asking for is not physically possible day to day

2019-12-30 00:47:57 UTC

honestly America needs a president like Sulla

2019-12-30 00:47:58 UTC

A democracy = people vote directly, while a republic = officials chosen by the people vote, correct?

2019-12-30 00:48:03 UTC

I just gave you the actual definition boy. Don't get salty being proved wrong.

2019-12-30 00:48:04 UTC

@KizzaGT "citizenship" in the ancient world was highly selective

2019-12-30 00:48:09 UTC

Kinda tubby

2019-12-30 00:48:13 UTC

you think everyone was a citizen?

2019-12-30 00:48:15 UTC

women werent

2019-12-30 00:48:18 UTC

slaves werent

2019-12-30 00:48:25 UTC

and all the ancient economies were slave driven

2019-12-30 00:48:26 UTC

@Lucienne d'Anwyl good ol' days

2019-12-30 00:48:29 UTC

poorer men werent

2019-12-30 00:48:30 UTC

Again it was the "aristocrats" back then.

2019-12-30 00:48:34 UTC

had to own some land or serve in the military

2019-12-30 00:48:39 UTC

and peasants living outside the citiy but within the lands governed by the city werent either

2019-12-30 00:48:59 UTC

Some democracy. That closer to a communist government.

2019-12-30 00:49:00 UTC

the concept of citizenship is highly fluid

2019-12-30 00:49:04 UTC

i don't see why people think that weighting votes removes the "tyranny of the majority" aspect of voting, when you weight votes the same dynamic exists it's just that now you only need a minority of people for it to happen

2019-12-30 00:49:13 UTC

@Tubby the Skelly Bones yes in a republic people vote for representatives who then go and vote in matters of state

2019-12-30 00:49:40 UTC

“An etymological study of a word and deduction of its ancient meaning is how we should contemporarily use them!”

-An idiot.

2019-12-30 00:49:43 UTC

Can't have representatives if they don't directly represent their constituents.

2019-12-30 00:49:44 UTC

The UK is a constitutional monarchy (democracy), and we have a crown and representatives, however referendums and national votes tend to get called to gauge the public and act accordingly

2019-12-30 00:49:56 UTC

They are also seen as a mandate (though not legally binding)

2019-12-30 00:49:58 UTC

See I'm epic. I only found out I was Ashkenazi like a year ago so I haven't been raised like some filthy Semite but now I have the Jew immunity

2019-12-30 00:50:03 UTC

a constitutional monarchy is not by definition a democracy

2019-12-30 00:50:11 UTC

and if they dont represent their constituents they get voted out next cycle

2019-12-30 00:50:12 UTC

a constitutional monarchy has nothing inherently to do with democracy

2019-12-30 00:50:13 UTC

Again it's not a democracy by definition. It's a fake. @Storin TY for proving my point.

2019-12-30 00:50:15 UTC

Crown doesn’t really mean shit in the UK honestly she is a figure head with power that never uses it

2019-12-30 00:50:20 UTC

So pretty pointless

2019-12-30 00:50:26 UTC

it ust means there is a piece of paper that exists to tell the monarch what they can and cannot do

2019-12-30 00:50:31 UTC

The irrational fear of "majority rule" is basically just people crying foul about the democratic process

2019-12-30 00:50:55 UTC

andrew no one cares about how a jew wants to subvert western culture
