piracy woudln't solve this. the DRM is server side so it's more of a "getting to use the product you purchased without the company selling it, taking it away" issue

The oGCD skills fill it out a bit, it's not really noticeable at level cap
I play swtor... so I really like the fastness of that
Like healing is stupid fun on the hot classes with fast GCDs
I don't really have a lot of experience with other mmos so I can't really make the comparison
FF14 was fun but I got bored super quickly, maybe because of the way I play mmos where I only really play for making cool outfits and decorating houses. ESO is my favourite mmo atm because it’s amazing for both of those and quite fun gameplay wise too as long as you make a decent build

I don’t remember it ever being like that but if they did it was probably just like.. beta testing weirdness
Though if you buy the chapters your characters all start there now which I don’t like, I feel like you should be able to choose which start zone you’re in
There’s lots of things I don’t like, especially with the cash shop, loot crates and fucking missing objects they REFUSE to add as housing decorations like instruments

Originally you started on the first islands, Stros M'kai, Khenarthi's Roost and whatever was the snowy shithole nords start in
Then they changed it that you spawn in the main city after the prologue
Because people complained that it's not an elder scrolls game because in Skyrim you can just pick a direction and go.
If you ask me, Stros has a fantastic story after the first half and it's heavily dependent on you not being able to just walk off. Khenarthi's roost a bit weaker, but similar.
Stros m’kai is probably my favourite zone in the game, the quests are amazing, it’s pretty and it reminds me of that redguard game
They also didn’t go the weird “this one small thing was mentioned in the lore here once so the WHOLE ZONE WILL BE BASED ON THAT!” Thing like they did with a lot of others, glenumbra with the vines etc

I liked that Baelborne questline where the dremora bugged and his voicefiles blasted across the entire city when someone triggered the quest event

@Nat Also on the topic of Stros, yes, best starting zone hands down. Managed to get me invested in the characters and fuck me, at the end I sided with the smug thief dude which is something I'd never expect, so thumbs up.
The Roost was fine and looked nice, but it seemed like they tried to get you invested but it didn't work. I liked the part with maormer. Maormer themselves are fucking dumb but sea peoples coming and wrecking whatever civilization there was is another meme, this time historical.
Haven't tried Ebonheart, ironically, despite otherwise liking nerds and dunmer
Yeah I feel the same. The nord one is pretty good, it feels very urgent and time based because there’s a fleet of pirates or covenant on their way to raid the island so you do quests for all the dumb villagers so they’re ready to leave, then go through ruins with them all to get to a secret dock and leave safely
take note you triple AAA fucknuggets
FFXIV is a pretty great gamethough
i've enjoyed my time playing as a whm, plus the glam in the game is really pretty too
