World is definitely the best

new movesets are easily improvements

new interconnected levels are clearly superior

garbage MH1 monster animations and hitboxes are fixed

the only problems are the ability to restock mid-quest, and some other stuff

Monster Hunter 1 monsters are almost universally agreed upon to have absolutely garbage animations

Meanwhile I literally can't stand most earlier MonHun because the pacing is too slow

And no, weapon speed in World is hilariously higher than it is in like, 4U

It's not just cleaner animations

It's also the speed of those animations and the rate at which you can cancel them

the game is still roughly the same pace as other MH games tho
