They even tried to impeach Reagan.

2019-12-09 19:57:52 UTC

Reagan!

2019-12-09 19:57:57 UTC

I know right

2019-12-09 19:58:01 UTC

76% of the popular vote

2019-12-09 19:58:03 UTC

good luck with that one lol

2019-12-09 19:58:07 UTC

😂

2019-12-09 19:58:18 UTC

trumps actions with ukraine? you mean having an overly friendly phone chat

2019-12-09 19:58:22 UTC

98% of the electoral college, but maybe we'll get'em! xD

2019-12-09 19:58:24 UTC

President Ronald Reagan was arguably the best president we've had since President George Washington walked this Earth.

2019-12-09 19:58:38 UTC

Yeah he was pretty good and very popular

2019-12-09 19:58:52 UTC

reagan was an actor too wasnt he?

2019-12-09 19:59:08 UTC

A lot of trump's stuff is modeled off of him, including the make america great again slogan, which reagan used

2019-12-09 19:59:35 UTC

Crazy right

2019-12-09 19:59:43 UTC

seriously if the dems want to beat trump they should just run a popular actor

2019-12-09 20:00:09 UTC

dwayne the rock johnson or oprah or something

2019-12-09 20:00:19 UTC

Yeah, I know, and Trump has led forward with a near carbon-copy of Reagan's policies, except for foreign retraction in some key areas.

2019-12-09 20:00:26 UTC

someone with a bit of wit and charm

2019-12-09 20:00:34 UTC

who knows how to play a room the way trump does

2019-12-09 20:01:01 UTC

Reagan certainly did, and he was rather charming and charismatic about it, too.

2019-12-09 20:01:12 UTC

You should go watch him tell Soviet and Democrat jokes.

2019-12-09 20:01:16 UTC

😂

2019-12-09 20:01:46 UTC

That's why they wanted to impeach him, for his impeccable sense of humor that gently demoralized and destroyed any credibility of the left.

2019-12-09 20:02:02 UTC

Trump is more of the blunt object.

2019-12-09 20:02:25 UTC

Blunt enough to harm his own credibility, by the way.

2019-12-09 20:02:50 UTC

that bluntness is a major factor in why people like him

2019-12-09 20:03:13 UTC

it sets him apart from the robotic, synthetic politician-ness

2019-12-09 20:03:17 UTC

Right, because everyone is angry, extremely angry.

2019-12-09 20:03:34 UTC

trump feels like more of a real person

2019-12-09 20:03:46 UTC

I'll agree with you there.

2019-12-09 20:04:35 UTC

so it might "harm his credibility" in one aspect but at the same time it helps him in another

2019-12-09 20:04:56 UTC

Fair enough.

2019-12-09 20:05:23 UTC

but if you read the transcript between trump and the ukraine president, there's clearly no mention of aid by Trump, and the only aid brought up is buying javelines from America by the ukraine president

2019-12-09 20:05:33 UTC

Who also claims he wasn't being pressured in to investigating the bidens

2019-12-09 20:05:51 UTC

And not onyl that, Trump didn't call for an investigation, just for information on an ongoing investigation to be forwarded to the state department

2019-12-09 20:06:01 UTC

So the entire narrative is sort of shattered by this

2019-12-09 20:06:08 UTC

the thing i love about the transcript is theres like 9 paragraphs in between mention of aid and mention of joe biden, almost as if one was not related to the other

2019-12-09 20:06:20 UTC

And bear in mind the impeachment inquiry in to trump started before this transcript was released and schiff read a fake version of it before going forwards with it

2019-12-09 20:06:33 UTC

I know right, and the aid was brought up by, literally the ukraine president

2019-12-09 20:06:42 UTC

Trump just ignores him and is like "yeah but can you do a favor"
