2019-12-09 19:32:03 UTC

let me pull out these biased articles

2019-12-09 19:33:34 UTC

Pretty sure a 'defining characteristic' of psytrance insn't "uses L/R frequency modulation to induce a desired frequency in brain waves"

2019-12-09 19:34:22 UTC

`The binaural effect is often being used in genres like Trance, Goa Trance, Psy Trance and alike. Even EDM producers are liking the idea of creating binaural beats.`

2019-12-09 19:34:52 UTC

2019-12-09 19:38:00 UTC

this is my fav

2019-12-09 19:38:03 UTC

No idea.
Anyways I stand by the idea that it's not a defining characteristic of the genera. Used in it, sure, but you can be psytrance without it.

Also this makes interesting point on the difficulty of making a lot of electronic music sound good on an "open air" stereo compared to headphones
