For a sun to create a black hole the gravity has to overcome the energy it puts out. So it collapses and becomes super dense. Thus smaller in volume

Even if you blew it up, the low inertia of the fusile materal would not allow the reaction to continue due to loss of pressure. It would fizzle out.
Fusion Reactors are physically incapably of going nuclear when breached. The only part that CAN explode is the steam engine turning the heat into electricity.
