they fire all the cannons at once
instead of at will
Virtually every medieval account of warfare states clearly that men took their shots when they could and they did it firing AT the target not into the air
they really didnt want you just pissing ammunition downrange
im sure it depends on context
Which means volley firing arrows was never a thing- it just looks really cool like a big CGI fight scene- but it is bullshit
They didn't just try and actually steel rain the enemy
but i think youre mis understanding what a volley is
Because they'd send the arrows back
lol
a volley is when you hold your fire
so every man fires at the same time on command
they didnt call it fire
it doesnt actually matter where youre firing
until they ahd guns
^
HAve youe ver tried to hold a bow....
just that its all together
<a:TismCopter:638424089836519435>
bro i can hold my compound bow all day
Luci isn't strong enough to draw a bow
I wish I learned how to shoot bows
Seems like fun
if youre only holding your bow for couple seconds i really dont think its that big a deal
@Samaritan™ ive used weak bows before
I literally said mine has a draw strength of 60lbs (70 if I push it) and a warbow has about 150, you want people to hold it and wait for a volley command <:pot_of_kek:544849795433496586>
im not *that* weak
lemme see
"draw"
"release"
My bow is 55 lbs
how many seconds would that take
like
5?
Haven't used it in a while
calm ur tiddies
Lord of the rings two towers had a scene which literally showed why it was a shit idea- the old guy lets loose
that isnt volley firing
if we're talking war bows it's not only hard but it wears you out so you can shoot less
theyre holding their arrows so they dont waste ammo
