ads aren't what makes the money anyway
make them publishers and there will be LIABILITY
the selling of data is
and they're not in trouble for that
and then the liability insurance won't make it WORTH hosting just anyone
it is not per contract law
While the EU may have the GDPR, expecting enforcement from the FTC is optimistic at best
the FTC doesn't understand how things work
the law move at 1/10th the speed of life
COPPA is America 4ding the EU and their world domination
EU thinks it's their weapon
it's not
and the internet moves 10000 x that fast
they are going to end up tanking the economy
which is kinda what the Dems want
e-commerce is a big thing
doing this in dec?
not a coincidence
@Spooky - They fund both outlets. Multi-billionaires that capitalize on media, period.
@ManAnimal the economy is way higher than it should be, a massive crash is imminent
agreed
Trump is going to hold it back until he leaves office
he's smart like that
with that and the trade-war and now the FTC going after the very mechanism that has driven the economy, selling cheap good online from thrd parties
Trump strikes me more as someone who really doesn't care about it that much
it's a huges shit shit
@Mersenne lmao trump doesn't care about money? seriously?
If it negatively impacts business, he definitely doesn't give a shit.
FTC will remain an ineffective appendage during his tenure. Same goes for the FCC.
you don't seem to grasp how this shit works
the FTC isn't the police
they don't go after individuals
endgame is more important to him, the net Win as it were. Hes all about winning aka feeding the arrogance
they file big-time class action lawsuits on behalf of consumers
who's saying they do, @ManAnimal ?
all social media has been put on notice
@Spooky wah?
so all these companies are going to react by banning EVERYTHING
else the FTC will sue them out of business
FTC typically drops a lawsuit against a major corp, get's some paltry compensation, sprinkles across affected customers as plaintiffs.
