But if someone released a game with half life one graphics and claimed it was an homage I'd laught at it too

its one of the best new age retro fps games

No retro throwback is gonna have good artistic appeal, although Dusk is a solid FPS, it's art style compared to other retro throwbacks are a bit lacking, yet considering the environment- makes sense.
