I took two years of journalism and then one year of a seperate progrma that's more or less "additional skills and projects"

Instead I wound up being an unofficial TA

teaching the chinese students who're just swhowing up in that year no, you don't steal articles from the AP

you go and write your own

And spending hours making sure they don't say something retardedly wrong on live television during our news shows

Thing is a lot of them are nice kids

but I suspect a lot of them had their parents fake their english literacy tests

they're taking journalism/media classes in North America, then returning to China

It be pretty weird for me to go to Northern Ireland Cause I prefer being more on the English side

Granted some of the skills are more general media/talking/editing skills

Then working around the Irish lol

but for real, why take north american journalism skills and learn all those ethics (we do get taught ethics, the industry just threw them away in the last 15 years)

It's probably just to have the name of the university on their resume

and then go back to fucking china
