that is incorrect

2019-12-13 22:48:27 UTC

"Muh cost for most efficient form of power generation"

2019-12-13 22:48:31 UTC

Burn coal then, faggot.

2019-12-13 22:48:37 UTC

Fuck solar panels.

2019-12-13 22:48:45 UTC

Good. Horizontal farmlands are the most damaging thing to the environment. It's perfectly possible to take the funding from israel's yearly allowance, and repurpose it for making vertical farms for the south

2019-12-13 22:48:45 UTC

Nuclear power plants are the least expensive in terms of watt per dollar

2019-12-13 22:49:14 UTC

B- b- but what about muh panels?!

2019-12-13 22:49:22 UTC

and they produce so much power that it offsets the time to build and cost to build

2019-12-13 22:49:25 UTC

Nuclear is ebil

2019-12-13 22:49:26 UTC

We can make the nuclear plants rather small, honestly

2019-12-13 22:49:32 UTC

@Louis Now yes. With mass produced solar panels, no.

2019-12-13 22:49:46 UTC

Nothing wrong with building more than one solution and producing more than you need.

2019-12-13 22:49:50 UTC

you cant just wish mass production in place

2019-12-13 22:50:01 UTC

The problem is that the more nuclear plants you have, the more likely we are to see dirty bombs used in terror attacks

2019-12-13 22:50:10 UTC
2019-12-13 22:50:11 UTC

@Louis No, but one can make a serious attempt at it. Which hasn't even happened yet.

2019-12-13 22:50:12 UTC

But I suppose that's a demographic issue

2019-12-13 22:50:12 UTC

O_o

2019-12-13 22:50:26 UTC

Bombs and nuclear power plants are completly different

2019-12-13 22:50:27 UTC

I'd love to see how many dirty-bombs have been used IRL

2019-12-13 22:50:34 UTC

Even without them i think the risk of a dirty bomb is higher than most of us imagine.

2019-12-13 22:50:43 UTC

Or if this is just pure cuckery of hypothesis

2019-12-13 22:50:47 UTC

you can make a bomb into nuclear fuel but not the other way around

2019-12-13 22:50:54 UTC

Because of enrichment

2019-12-13 22:51:07 UTC

I don't think you actually understand what a nuclear power plant is if you actually think the waste would be used as a weapon

2019-12-13 22:51:08 UTC

Its a myth

2019-12-13 22:51:32 UTC

@Louis no it's really not. Proliferation is a very simplistic process, and whereas you won't be able to make a full on nuke, it's quite easy to make a bomb or even just a generator within your basement

2019-12-13 22:51:34 UTC

Just ask any nuclear engineer

2019-12-13 22:51:38 UTC

Its a myth

2019-12-13 22:51:49 UTC

TBH, the risk of depleted uranium being used in munitions galore is bigger than dirty bombs are of being used from the same power plants.

2019-12-13 22:51:49 UTC

@Reprehensibletrash how many dirty bomb attacks have there been in the past century?

2019-12-13 22:51:54 UTC

@Louis You haven't looked at the prototypes I have. You think solar panels are the bulky, crappy shit they sell in retail right now.

The "future tech" are basically paper thin and could be printed like newspapers. But it requires investments and building the specialized production facilities for them.

Big chunk cost initially. Low costs in the long term.

2019-12-13 22:52:08 UTC

The US have been using their depleted uranium in some rather immoral ways.

2019-12-13 22:52:10 UTC

@Seven Proxies future tech is syfi until its here

2019-12-13 22:52:22 UTC

or else we would have flying cars right now

2019-12-13 22:52:25 UTC

Find me more than one use of a dirty bomb pls, otherwise I won't take the position seriously.

2019-12-13 22:52:38 UTC

@Louis It's already here. It's just that they have only made single copy prototypes in small scale so far.

2019-12-13 22:52:43 UTC

@Grok there isnt even one case

2019-12-13 22:52:45 UTC

It happened in theory, guys; we can't implement it irl.

2019-12-13 22:52:50 UTC

Damn, not even one?

2019-12-13 22:52:53 UTC

Car crashed in theory, no real cars.
