Star Wars armor lore is cursed though and should just be rewritten with Stormtroopers can take multiple shots the movies just aren't like that and who cares kind of like 40k space marines in the books vs in basically everything else, they aren't nearly as OP as the lore would suggest

I think originally, Stormtrooper armour wasn't meant to stop blaster shots. The first time we see them they are boarding another ship. And they are fully enclosed suits.

So I think the original idea was for the suits to be life-support space suits basically without other protective qualities.

After all, if you're boarding a space ship and do kot have your own oxygen supply, the defenders can just vent the atmosphere in whatever deck you enter from and choke you to death.

just make it so blasters are firing extremely minute amounts of plasma enough to melt a 3inch diameter hold in the "traditional" armour everything has

but pierce through flesh without a problem just like lightsabers
