if the sun suddently disappeared
we would still have day and night
No, as far as i have seen, the original light that God created isn't in use
oh well where did it go
did it just stick around until God made the sun?
do you see how ridiculous this is getting?
No we are discussing stuff
I don't know how God thinks or why he does that and the only way to find out how is to ask questions
This was God creating lightness and darkness
Yeah
you can't "create darkness", because darkness is simply the absense of light
God wouldn't need to have a source for either
thats like saying you can create cold
God was creating His universe to hold to those laws
this is what happens when you trust a story written by a bunch of bronze age desert people
The bible is trust worthy
prove it
so far the creation story goes against everything we know about the universe
through observation
How ?
Okay
how do you ***know*** that?
here
this is from Stanford.
one sec i need to drive
You really think the Bible was written as one giant book don’t you?
The bible is made up of several different books
I guess in a prot bible there is 66 separate books
And in catholic ones it’s 73
Okay yeah
I think the EO have an additional 2 they use, and the OO have the book of Enoch
Yeah there are a lot of books not in the prot bible
Yeah, we prefer our scriptures to be inspired 😎
But i was arguing a bit with addie about God and creation
@Oboe i think prots or just the main protestant bible only chose the books that have "authority"
Yes
The reason the deuterocanonical books are omitted is due to the belief that they, while being legitimate historical books, are not divinely inspired.
Okay
Those being 1 and 2 Esdras, 1 and 2 Maccabees
