Christ is willing to sacrifice *everything*

For this one teaching

He doesn’t say “come back, it’s only symbolic”

He says John 6:54

The original Greek actually hides a bit

So

He uses the word eat about 4 times in the above context

Each time He makes it more “extreme”

Starting with eat and ending on feast

Using the words gnaw and chew the other times

When someone eats the bread at church, it is physically bread

It dosent turn into flesh when u bite into it does it

It’s *substance* is that of Christ. Its appearance is that of bread

Why does he say " whoever eats this bread will live forever"

And not flesh

Since it is literally flesh

Why adress it as bread

So people will understand it the way they understand Passover.

It never mentions it is literally his flesh, it can be interpretted as either literal or symbolic
