@Deleted User this.
Nuclear fission was the answer for decades. Molten salt reactors are even safer, have less waste, but weren't ever used by the U.S. over the traditional reactors.

*Fusion* may also become a possibility. Predictions say it may be a reality in 10-30 years.
Although using it on a nationwide scale probably couldn't be accomplished for a bit longer.

TF, wh is a Communist agreeing to my view

2019-07-19 09:53:12 UTC

@Deleted User first off, I'm more of a social democrat/democratic socialist. Actual communism won't be a reality in my country for decades.

As for why I agree with your view: because switching to renewable would take time and lots of money. Nuclear is relatively safe and the waste (the main problem) can be stored safely/re-used. So "Why is a communist agreeing to my view?"

Because they don't share in the stigma and see nuclear as a viable alternative, not something to be phased out entirely.

2019-07-19 09:57:52 UTC

Lol you are pretty much a commie but ok

@everyone Daily Question 🔖

English is a notoriously complex and confusing language to spell, and historically efforts have been made to simplify the way it's spelled.

- Is the English language overdue for a reform? What are some ways that the writing of English could be simplified?

2019-07-19 20:16:38 UTC

English is fine

2019-07-19 20:16:50 UTC

No, don't simplify as the spelling of a word gives useful information on it's context and etymology

2019-07-19 20:17:27 UTC

huh

2019-07-19 20:17:35 UTC

me no englis speakerino

2019-07-19 20:18:03 UTC

Well I was listening to a lecture recently that was discussing how English speakers have a nearly impossible time naturally understanding Shakespeare compared to non-English speakers because translations of say Macbeth will be translated it into maybe "modern French" while the English speakers are stuck with middle/Early Modern English of Shakespeare's time.

2019-07-19 20:18:06 UTC

English is a shitty language in general

2019-07-19 20:18:26 UTC

No reason for anyone besides englishmen and anglos to use it

2019-07-19 20:19:59 UTC

@G a b e גבריאל Are you Anglo?

2019-07-19 20:27:39 UTC

@Classy I speak 10 languages, will add another one in the arsenal soon. Will have to learn many others too. I have got my time as I am very young. And I don't think reforms are worth it if the native English speakers respect themselves. What do I mean? There are many language families and many language groups. There are languages that don't involve sounds others do. Native Japanese can't pronounce sounds from the English language as English people can't pronounce some sounds from mine. Furthermore, it's about grammar as well. The languages you speak do shape your way of thinking. Japanese grammar is very different than the one of the English language. In order to make English easier for Japanese people, you will need to mess up English language. There are many people you just cannot satisfy because of their native language regardless of how much reforms you make. Appreciate your language and take care of it.

2019-07-19 20:33:44 UTC

@Classy i am not anglo

2019-07-19 21:01:49 UTC

2019-07-19 21:46:45 UTC

Pretty much all cultures with intelligence will find words from their language i english

2019-07-19 21:47:25 UTC

This is why phonetic spelling dies

2019-07-19 22:59:06 UTC

French german latin greek.

2019-07-20 02:15:05 UTC

@Deleted User ye, respect native lsnguage, its funny because Russian language tried making concessions to German and French and Russan now is the most distant slavic language from all the languages of the Slavic world, for example, Ukrainian, which is my native, used to be be far closer to Ukro pre-Peter I, but it has obsorb alot of German and French shit and now is vry unrecognizable to me

2019-07-20 03:11:34 UTC

English is one of the easiest languages there are

2019-07-20 10:39:48 UTC

@MaoDidNothingWrong ive found not

2019-07-20 10:39:57 UTC

English makes little sense

2019-07-20 10:40:19 UTC

English does have a lot of exceptions in terms of grammar and vocabulary

2019-07-20 10:40:34 UTC

the only thing easy of it is the way to nakew everything a verb with little effort

2019-07-20 10:40:44 UTC

But the sheer amount of exposure you receive on daily basis and sheer amount of resources makes it easier

2019-07-20 10:41:07 UTC

Also as you said it has almost zero conjugation

2019-07-20 10:42:43 UTC

what im confused avout tho is how did England come from Aegland (Old English)?

2019-07-20 10:44:08 UTC

how tf did old english butcher itself over centuries

2019-07-20 14:46:27 UTC

@G a b e גבריאל Greece and Syria? Actually, it's a form of capitalism with social benefits. They're being used in some of the greatest countries, including many European (especially Scandinavian) countries and countries in Oceania (NZ, Australia), which are also doing very well. But I suppose most super-developed countries are when compared to the U.S.
