Well not all suicide, but like killing oneself over depression or something is a bad idea for the perpetrator. @DrRisen

If it’s genetic the tendency for suicide is removed from the gene pool in part.

If that person suffered from depression they likely didn’t produce as much resources as another.

Depression tends to have that effect.

Depression can be certainly cured.

The issue is, most people that I tend to see that go depressed are ones who typically had existing sedentary lifestyles and social isolation.

So why in the world were half of the people here supporting the punishment of suicide attempts earlier?

Punishment won’t help. Treatment will.

A re-evaluation in one’s lifestyle can certainly help.

And then there’s those 15/16 year olds with the roof over their heads, stable households, who go out and about touting of their depression.
