keeping our weaponry rights is directly in line with our values. plus the shades of conservatives that really feel strongly about weaponry rights often feel that way out of mistrust of the government. People who mistrust the current government and system in general really have more in common with us than different. SO you might be able to make some friends you get along well with.

The NRA is as jewy as everything else, but they have to play for white interests like conservative politicians have to. Laws can be revoked. If these are outlawed, then they can be unoutlawed. It's not permanent. It's just a pain in the butt, as per the usual in politics.
