change my mind
I have a shit memory. Is dorieus the one who said that instead of drawing tarot cards, he thinks of numbers?
Probably
shapes tbh but. numbers are best for describing shapes
@Oneiros yea so a popular synecdoche is when referring to sports teams. Like if we're talking american football and i say "cleveland" you know im referring to the browns. Not the city. But the team represents the city as a whole. So the browns are a fraction of the city but when accessing them through language we can use cleveland as the macro to find the browns in football
Synecdoches are how we access macro vs micro in language
š
that sounds. too simplified. but i do see the point
Thanks for sharing. I was not familiar with this word.
but like i said before this is why i cant wait for more about scalar waves to be integrated
because these defined macro and micro are not the largest or smallest effecting that area or that it has effect on
the team is not the smallest group of people in the city. or the largest force representing it. and the city is not the largest group of people its occupants live in. or the smallest
nothing in this is being measured relative to other scales
Yea
But like when i say
Iām at my job
8 hour day today
"Cleveland made 1 touchdown on monday"
The city didnt make the touchdown
The browns did
The information is contained within the larger unit
sure but theres an obvious flaw
'the usa made a touchdown today' is not technically inaccurate by your logic either
So we find specialized information in the synecdoche
theres no relative measurement this way
Well if were talking soccer then that synecdoche works
Look at these autists talking about groups of people who "made" touchdowns
I love this server
a language limited by circumstance doesnt sound effective
Its not limited its actually unlimited
Thats the whole point of the grain of sand
You can extrapolate on it to find any information
Thats what we do as occultists with symbols
unless there isnt a lot of that information within the grain
Hermitage used to say, the mark of a great occultist is how many definitions he can apply to a triangle
I 100% agree with that
this is getting blurry
idk how to say what im thinking tho so ig ill leave it
