I read the reports years ago. As far as I recall, the existence of Cheddar's remains was not a hoax.
The team that analyzed Cheddar just made exaggerated claims about their findings.
Cheddar doesn't have a genetic signature which is any different from the WHGs at the time.
The research team just wanted to sensationalize the fact that he had an allele responsible for dark skin, which really doesn't mean jack shit.
After that, the media ran ape shit with misunderstanding, making the claim or at least insinuating that Cheddar was a recent ancestor of Africans.
They're doing all of this to try and push the idea that British people are the product of distant migration, in order to socially normalize the idea of racial replacement for Europeans.
