It's the downside of walking simulators. Either you like it for "le atmosphere" or you grow bored because nothing is happening.

I'm just the former type of basterd that would enjoy a Walking in Forest Simulator.

The Forest is not a Minecraft ripoff, the Forest is about how a lone or small group of survivors are driven to total madness

game is actually kinda spooky

due to how the cannibals can attack at any time, even while youre sleeping

You have to spook the abbos back by showing who's the true madman there

Meaning punching them with their own leg behind a lot of burning effigies full of parts

Amnesia Machine for Pigs is a pretty decent game, but it would be much better if it went without the "Amnesia" name.

then again not even dark descent spooked me

The games really have little similarity in terms of mechanics. Dark Descent was much more interactive while Machine for Pigs was more "experiential".

I mean, the latter was made by the Chinese Room studio, a studion *only* known for their walking simulators.

"Dear Esther" and "Everybody Has Gone to the Rapture" are fantastic games, but their mechanics and appeal cannot be appreciated as a part of "Amnesia" series.

It's a fun game but I got myself in an unwinnable war because I set a wargoal so high that in the time it would take me to achieve another empire declared war on them and occupied half their territory

Now neither of us can end our war because the warscore of one empire doesn't affect the other

And if I simply wait things out I get nothing because of my Casus Belli
