My primary goal is just to draw what I want to draw. Which isn't men. I'd rather draw still life than men, and thats just how it is.

I'll get to drawing anime style one day. Once I'm able to draw still life and females to a decent degree of realism.

you dont need to know realism to draw anime

I was told the contrary by many artists, and so I stopped trying to draw anime as an entry point.

"Gotta learn the rules of reality before I break them" is what I was told.
