Work on anatomy, the hips are too wide and shoulders are not broad enough
The hips are supposed to be wide and the shoulders are supposed to be small
You do need to work on anatomy though. The body looks like a piece of stretched kraft cheese. Bodies have more definition that that, proportions aside.
I'm assuming you are pretty young, so I don't want to bash you. You have the potential to get really good. But you shouldn't turn a blind eye to legitimate criticism either.
I'm not I just don't want things I do on purpose to be considered a mistake
If you want the hips to be wide and the shoulders small, that's fine. There are people with proportions that way. You just gotta make it look natural.
Again, not trying to bash you. I know it's hard to draw bodies lol.
It's fine I'm not good at drawing bodies I usually draw busts (even though I really do like how the art piece turned out)
Well that's good, you should take pride in what you do. It sucks to draw something and just not like it at all. You'll get there, though. And I know the feel. I waited wayyy too long to start drawing entire bodies.
But I usually have better proportions I just wanted to try exaggerated proportions
It isn't just about proportions, either. Proportions can be fucked with for whatever effect you are going for. It's more about doing it in a way that's "believable", even if it isnt realistic. But you'll figure that out the more you draw.
What do you mean by believable
Hmm... It's hard to explain. I brian froud can be a great example. He did a lot of the work on Labyrinth and Dark Crystal. I love his work. His proportions aren't at all realistic, but they are also believable because of the detail and thought that were put into them. You can tell he KNOWS what a body should look like, but is choosing to test the limits of what we perceive as "real"
Same with cartoons and animation in general. They exaggerate what they can while still making it look believable enough to register as "real".
I know his work
Nobody has proportions like that, but it still makes sense, you know?
Well kind of
Basically what I am saying, is that before you decide to STRETCH the limits of what is believable, it's good to have a good foundation.
Okay before we go on I just wanna say that I'm not trying to make anything believable
I don't like stuff like that
