honestly, when I argue I just realize that getting heated is useless and then people get all pissy when I'm just sitting there speaking calmly. It annoys some people, but that's part of why I do it.

Think about it.

If I turned around and told you, 'oh hey, you're a minor, you don't matter you just do what you're told,' would you honestly be alright with that? That is something people would say to an animal, If that. I understand that yes, anyone under 18 is technically and socially a minor, but can we not just use the term and not think about at least saying 'no offence' at some point? It really gets to me I don't know why...

Yes I am under 18. I am 13, 14 in January, but now that you've read these few sentences I bet some of you are already thinking less of me. Because I'm a minor and being a called a minor puts me down, guys. It's not nice to be called a kid because no kid wants to think they're young and dumb but it's pretty much a fact; though I'd rather be called a child than a minor. It makes kids sound like less of a person- children might not be as smart or capable as adults but we have free will, just like you. So we are no less of a person than you are. Just because we don't have fancy jobs or work, that does not make us any less of a human being, does it?

Because once upon a time, you was a child too. And I bet you wouldn't have enjoyed being talked about as a product of science and the social pecking order rather than a human being. Think about it. Please."

This is not meant to be ratting people out at all because in general almost everyone will call an under 18 a minor at least once in their life but please, considering the amount of under 18s on the site can we think a little? Thanks for reading guys. <3
