It’s an excellent question. While people may be uncomfortable with the concept of a stranger recording a conversation it is considered good customer service to know your customer and anticipate their needs.

Currently consumers simply aren’t savvy enough to make an educated decision as to determine where to draw the line themselves, let alone how that should be enforced and so expecting a realistic provision to limit its excesses while preserving its demonstrated ability to provide a better product and service to customers seems naive and outright prevention backward and worse then the problem. From my perspective the critical and technical skills required of citizens must be raised in order to effectively ensure an open society or I see the realist’s perspective becoming increasingly predictive as power will increasingly concentrate in the hands of those who best understand and anticipate this changing landscape at the cost of those who do not.

While the topic also seems to address this issue in a commercial setting, it should be noted that there is no reason why it would be expected to be restricted to it.

I don’t think gays are really interested in spreading their ideals just as your probably not interested in making a gay guy straight. I really don’t get the stigma here

If anything I consider it a win-win, they get to be happy and I have less people in the same space competing with me
