I wish I had a PC
OH WAIT
I DO
@goose 6600k is really plenty for anything still
same CPU but at 4.6Ghz
@jonnyxjonny rx 480 I think still ranks a little a better. The problem is AMD hasn't released the 490 yet
Guys, I pre-ordered Red Dead Redemption 2
and I got Battlefield 1
sorry 6700k i ment
@AndrewB I upgrade from the fx8350 to 6700k ( had to change my ram and motherboard to naturally) and then literally a few days later I saw the 7700k leaks.
this is the monitor i want to add to my setup https://www.amazon.com/Pixio-PX277-2560x1440-FreeSync-Displayport/dp/B01HPDAF68/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1477974338&sr=8-1&keywords=1440p+144hz+pixio
@GoblinJenkins currently using a GeForce GTX 750 ti graphics card.
thats always the case you always buy something and find something better
this is what i got the PC for https://robertsspaceindustries.com/
@jonnyxjonny Yeah either would be an upgrade then haha. It's one of those things, from what I've seen people usually just pick based on whether they feel more team green or team red, they're both pretty solid cards.
Personally I have the 1070 but I still root for AMD
MY SCREEN LOCKS ME INTO A TEAN GREEN *sorry caps
@GoblinJenkins I had an 800 dollar budget, so i picked the cheapest medium quality graphics card i could find.
That's fine dude, when I first built my pc I was on a 600 dollar budget. I've upgrade it a lot since then but yeah, took time.
still, GTX 1060 is very promising.
nah get the 8GB VRAM onces
The vram can help a lot
Depends though I guess
It's one of those things
doesn't really how much you have
As long as it's enough
If it's not
You're fucked
on the game but i have seen some games use 6.7GB
on some games
It's kind of hard to tell sometimes
Like I thought the Witcher 2 would be a vram hog
but it's actually really light on it
just run some tools to see whats going on
I don't mean hard to see
I mean it's hard to know what a game will use exactly without actually just running it
oh soryr yeah
Anyways it can just vary a lot with different game engines
Has anyone tried the special edition of skyrim yet
It's actually surprsingly hard to crash compared to the original
