They are different kinds of the same thing. Not neccesarily exclusive to one another but Gender Dysphoria affects Transgenders usually far more than transexuals.

In modern use, transgender is more so that you don't align with your assigned identity. Transexual is used to signify someone who has completed transistion. But that is falling out of favor and just using trangender for both.
