Back when that parties were just one party called the Democratic - Republican Party?

2016-11-14 16:07:25 UTC

No, third parties have no chance. At all. Under the American first past the post system. They'll never get enough votes to win and just ensure the opposite major party wins.

2016-11-14 16:07:39 UTC

For third parties to have a fair shot you need a single transferable vote system

2016-11-14 16:07:46 UTC

Unless people stop being dumb but I guess that's kinda asking for too much.

2016-11-14 16:07:53 UTC

That gives you a secondary candidate your vote goes to if your first choice loses.

2016-11-14 16:08:03 UTC

That ensures that the opposite candidate won't gain from your vote.

2016-11-14 16:08:09 UTC

most of the country is dumb ppl

2016-11-14 16:08:21 UTC

But the whole "opposite candidate gains from your vote" is bull. That's not how voting works.

2016-11-14 16:08:32 UTC

It's too much to hope for to hope people won't be ignorant morons.

2016-11-14 16:08:40 UTC

First of all, when you vote Stein, who is even the "opposite candidate"?

2016-11-14 16:08:58 UTC

Unless you can actually educate people properly, stupidity will always be around

2016-11-14 16:09:37 UTC

_cough_

2016-11-14 16:09:47 UTC

it depends on how there raised too and family and all that other shit most people give into society and social norms

2016-11-14 16:10:16 UTC

Not to mention that if Sargon is correct, people have actually actively been conditioned to be obsessed with social justice.

2016-11-14 16:10:19 UTC

I think you need to watch this voting series that explains, in detail why third parties can't work in our system:

the gov dooesnt like people thinking outside the box

2016-11-14 16:10:30 UTC

It does indeed. Having parents that care about their children is important

You repeated.

2016-11-14 16:10:52 UTC

Glitch?

2016-11-14 16:11:21 UTC

Well the last time I brought up this subject people started misspelling my name and calling me grandpa.

2016-11-14 16:11:29 UTC

So lets not talk about how people should be raised.

2016-11-14 16:11:50 UTC

How should they be raised?

2016-11-14 16:12:02 UTC

Religious/political indoctrination on a family and/or school level will fuck the kid up in the future

2016-11-14 16:12:06 UTC

My internet took a dump right there. No one panic!!!

2016-11-14 16:12:33 UTC

I think the fault is with the parents for leaving most of the raising to the schools.

2016-11-14 16:12:45 UTC

thats not my place for my opinion i dont have kids

2016-11-14 16:12:51 UTC

That doesn't help but it's not the only problem.

2016-11-14 16:13:31 UTC

After witnessing two pairs of friends raise their children, I'm positive that the tough love approach is best.

2016-11-14 16:13:50 UTC

Our society as a whole is extremely anti-intellectual. Learning in general is frowned upon. Even schools don't even teach. which is their damn job. Instead they're more interested in grooming you to be an obedient worker rather than an intelligent critical thinker.

2016-11-14 16:13:59 UTC

Not always treating your kids fair *sounds* strange but kids need to learn that life isn't fair.

2016-11-14 16:14:14 UTC

i will never have kids thankfully

2016-11-14 16:14:19 UTC

only pets lol

2016-11-14 16:14:26 UTC

Is a STEM school, a good school?

2016-11-14 16:14:37 UTC

Most of the time yes

2016-11-14 16:14:51 UTC

but if i did have kids id treat them like people show them good movies i used to love a lot of disney shit

2016-11-14 16:14:53 UTC

pokemon

2016-11-14 16:14:58 UTC

STEM is relatively resistant to the social justice taint since the field tends to attract a bunch of autists.

2016-11-14 16:15:00 UTC

i wouldnt make them if they didnt want to
