New Vegas is a prime example.

2016-12-13 21:39:26 UTC

It's the buggiest game I have ever played.

2016-12-13 21:39:35 UTC

Bethesda DID give them barley any time

2016-12-13 21:39:53 UTC

That's not the point. It was going to be buggy regardless.

2016-12-13 21:40:02 UTC

The problem is that they didn't patch it at all after release.

2016-12-13 21:40:18 UTC

Just token patches to integrate DLC, no real bugfixes.

2016-12-13 21:40:28 UTC

I hd less problems with NV than with FO4

2016-12-13 21:40:30 UTC

tbh

2016-12-13 21:40:43 UTC

FO3 was the worst

2016-12-13 21:40:50 UTC

It crashed every 15 mins on release

2016-12-13 21:40:52 UTC

We can't see into alternate universe's, how can we know that It would be buggy regardless??

2016-12-13 21:40:59 UTC

it was unlplayable for weeks

2016-12-13 21:41:06 UTC

Because of the company's reputation.

2016-12-13 21:41:19 UTC

and really, I've had no problems with my New Vegas game

2016-12-13 21:41:28 UTC

Obsidian is infamous for releasing buggy, barely-if-at-all functional games.

2016-12-13 21:41:40 UTC

Worse than Bethesda.

2016-12-13 21:41:59 UTC

didn't they work on South Park the Stick of Truth though??

2016-12-13 21:42:15 UTC

those games are technically easy tho

2016-12-13 21:42:17 UTC

That was compartively a much simplier game.

2016-12-13 21:42:43 UTC

And the South Park team was heavily involved in it and they delayed it several times.

2016-12-13 21:42:47 UTC

those games don't exactly have complex engines

2016-12-13 21:42:51 UTC

ok

2016-12-13 21:42:56 UTC

Usually Obsidian's publishers run them on unrealistic deadlines.

2016-12-13 21:43:08 UTC

every publisher does

2016-12-13 21:43:14 UTC

it bankrupts studios

2016-12-13 21:43:15 UTC

They love to blame their publishers for that, but despite that they usually refuse to patch it post-launch.

2016-12-13 21:43:17 UTC

remmeber Troika

2016-12-13 21:43:28 UTC

I heard Bethesda put them on a unrealistic deadline for New Vegas

2016-12-13 21:43:40 UTC

That's kind of exaggerated.

2016-12-13 21:43:56 UTC

It was fast for a Bethesda game, but more than most games get.

2016-12-13 21:43:57 UTC

nobody remembers Troika...

2016-12-13 21:44:05 UTC

😩

2016-12-13 21:44:25 UTC

And New Vegas wasn't started from scratch. They basically just took the completed Fallout 3 and built New Vegas in its engine.

2016-12-13 21:44:32 UTC

Which takes considerably less time.

2016-12-13 21:45:00 UTC

Every single item and asset that was in Fallout 3 is in New Vegas and accessable by console commands.

2016-12-13 21:46:19 UTC

isn't Obsidian made up of Ex-Black Isle Studio members??

2016-12-13 21:47:26 UTC

Yeah, that's how they got the license to make a Fallout game. It was Bethesda extending an olive branch to them.

2016-12-13 21:48:14 UTC

Anyone played tyranny yet?

2016-12-13 21:48:20 UTC

What do you think about the Story of New Vegas??

2016-12-13 21:48:44 UTC

Troika included the guy that worked on the first fallout
