Bethesda DID give them barley any time
That's not the point. It was going to be buggy regardless.
The problem is that they didn't patch it at all after release.
Just token patches to integrate DLC, no real bugfixes.
I hd less problems with NV than with FO4
tbh
FO3 was the worst
It crashed every 15 mins on release
We can't see into alternate universe's, how can we know that It would be buggy regardless??
it was unlplayable for weeks
Because of the company's reputation.
and really, I've had no problems with my New Vegas game
Obsidian is infamous for releasing buggy, barely-if-at-all functional games.
Worse than Bethesda.
didn't they work on South Park the Stick of Truth though??
those games are technically easy tho
That was compartively a much simplier game.
And the South Park team was heavily involved in it and they delayed it several times.
those games don't exactly have complex engines
ok
every publisher does
it bankrupts studios
They love to blame their publishers for that, but despite that they usually refuse to patch it post-launch.
remmeber Troika
I heard Bethesda put them on a unrealistic deadline for New Vegas
That's kind of exaggerated.
It was fast for a Bethesda game, but more than most games get.
nobody remembers Troika...
😩
And New Vegas wasn't started from scratch. They basically just took the completed Fallout 3 and built New Vegas in its engine.
Which takes considerably less time.
Every single item and asset that was in Fallout 3 is in New Vegas and accessable by console commands.
isn't Obsidian made up of Ex-Black Isle Studio members??
Yeah, that's how they got the license to make a Fallout game. It was Bethesda extending an olive branch to them.
Anyone played tyranny yet?
What do you think about the Story of New Vegas??
Troika included the guy that worked on the first fallout
Tim Cain
The story is certainly more interesting than anything Bethesda has done.
Arcanum was better than Fallout imo
