I don't want to say what uni I go to but I can tell you this

The reason MIT is great is not because MIT gives a great education

it's because they filter out everyone except the promising applicants

thus creating a correlation

not a causation

I think that's true of most colleges

higher level ones

But then generally shit colleges do exist

There is value in having better peers

So I don't want to generalize too much

it also means better grad students teaching courses

teaching professors are aids
