2017-03-11 06:36:56 UTC

I think I win first place for worst dad here. 😛

2017-03-11 06:37:09 UTC

Hate to think what could have happened to me if he wasn't caught.

2017-03-11 06:37:26 UTC

With the drugs he was on.... anything could have happened.

2017-03-11 06:41:35 UTC

loool

2017-03-11 06:42:23 UTC

Yes and worse outcomes too

2017-03-11 07:08:40 UTC

guys

2017-03-11 07:08:53 UTC

if Michael Moore was an OS, he'd be Winded XP

ha

2017-03-11 07:11:53 UTC

does anyone here who is 10x more experienced than me have advice on maths test

2017-03-11 07:13:26 UTC

What sort of test?

2017-03-11 07:13:40 UTC

Trig? calculus?

2017-03-11 07:14:07 UTC

permission to use calculator. financial maths and algebra

2017-03-11 07:14:36 UTC

That's relatively easy.

2017-03-11 07:14:41 UTC

and it covers pretty much everything weve done so far in my entire life

2017-03-11 07:14:53 UTC

yeah but im stupid do you have any advice or whatever

2017-03-11 07:15:56 UTC

I'm an actual mathematician. It's what I went to school for. Algebra to me is what a screwdriver is to a carpenter. Just one tool among many and nothing special about it nor difficult.

2017-03-11 07:16:24 UTC

i see. too bad im a dumb shit and my only bad subject is maths but its the only one i cant get a grasp on

2017-03-11 07:16:51 UTC

all the numbers just overwhelm me

2017-03-11 07:18:39 UTC

Algebra is pretty easy as far as subjects go. If you have trouble with it, something that can help is trying some visual aids. They can help you get your mind around it when just looking at pure text doesn't do it for you.

2017-03-11 07:19:09 UTC

ive tried studying really hard even 2 weeks in advance and the test turns out like 10 times more difficult than what i learnt, also thanks for the advice m8

2017-03-11 07:19:39 UTC

Visual aids help a lot. They're the best way of getting your mind around most math subjects.

2017-03-11 07:19:44 UTC

I'm sitting at 89% in a Calc 2 course this semester 😀

2017-03-11 07:20:21 UTC

I find that most people who trouble understanding algebra are actually more visual in their learning.

2017-03-11 07:20:21 UTC

im still a fetus so this should be easy compared to what you guys are doing...

2017-03-11 07:20:47 UTC

but my best result was 64 percent and my worst was 53

2017-03-11 07:20:50 UTC

I went into high school calculus already knowing what they'd teach in the college classes.

2017-03-11 07:21:16 UTC

Calc 2 is my last Calculus class

2017-03-11 07:21:32 UTC

The other students looked at me with a look that combined loathing, contempt, jealousy, and envy when I finished a five day test in 25 minutes and got a perfect score and the only one in the class to get more than an 80%.

2017-03-11 07:21:36 UTC

Next semester I have to take Linear Algebra

2017-03-11 07:22:21 UTC

Ugh heard that linear algebra is tuff

2017-03-11 07:22:51 UTC

And Calc 2 kicks my ass occasionally as well

2017-03-11 07:23:56 UTC

Is this high school or college?

2017-03-11 07:24:29 UTC

high school

2017-03-11 07:24:35 UTC

I'm in college

2017-03-11 07:24:40 UTC

at least i have time to fix it right

2017-03-11 07:25:40 UTC

Algebra is the easiest subject in mathematics and typically the only one you're usually required to advance up to if your degree in college doesn't require it.

2017-03-11 07:26:14 UTC

The problem most people have is they can't wrap their minds around the words and letters and require a visual aid to help them conceptualize it and most teachers don't really do that.

2017-03-11 07:26:42 UTC

Linear Algebra is nothing like high school Algebra
