tbf LOTGH has like 100+ characters

and was hand drawn

so it ends up having like 10 base faces

which then get different hair color/height/etc

if you can switch around the faces of the characters and notice actual differences then the art style is ok

but if you can barely notice a difference then

most anime prior to 2000s is good

computers coming in and also anime tropes taking hold ruined it
