There is a gas station in my town that spent about five months restoring the building because some lunatic arsonist set fire for it. He did so after setting fire to his own apartment unit. Just his unit, not the rest of that building.

His reason for targeting that gas station over all the others in town? I went to it a few days before then demanding tater tots for breakfast and they said they didn't serve them then. And that pissed him off. And is why he picked it as a target.

He went after the local pizza hut next but by then the police were entirely aware of the raging fires and were close by and someone carrying gas cans trying to get into a locked building was obvious.

He got into a physical fight with them. It was anti-climatic. He was so wasted that it was pretty easy to hold him down and they added assaulting an officer to the charge.
