We can't go a single legistaltive session in my state without the state house and congress cutting something for teachers.

They try to pass a pay cut bill every year.

In our country some professors illegaly got extra money that firefighters, policemen and such people get for always being ready to do their job. And they reason to get that money was that they were always ready for a student to call them in middle of the night.

Usually doesn't pass but it does top pay rise bills from being considered.

yeah but they're also raising the next generation

And people wonder why Americans are so looked down upon by smart people.

Unless I missed something and this isn't about American educators not getting paid enough.

Just recently they passed laws making difficult for teachers to retire. Trying to cut off their access to any kind of retirement financial resources they might have because they're "state property" and making it difficult for them to get re-hired.

The republicans in my state hate teachers with a passion. It's insane.
