Do to the Designs complexity it is not a cheap Vessel, coming in at £800 million Per vessel. this has lead the MOD and the Royal Navy to Placed a bid out between the different Defence companies for a new design (one not designed by BAE systems) called Type 31e.Type 31e will cost £250 million per vessel, making it the cheapest warship on the market, appealing to budgeted and well funded navies alike.
Here is one of the Type 31e Concepts, BMT Defence's Venator 110 (a popular design between MOD, Polititician and British civvies alike).
