let him die
That’s extreme too. Just little things like letting someone who can barely walk sit down in a train while you stand.
You are making it a variable situation
I'm stating it as a general rule.
tomorrow is national do something nice day
Honestly I don't know how to feel about all of this. It's hard to take a universal stance on something that's very context sensitive.
Or talking to your friend when they’re going through rough patch of life.
Because of the enviroment I'm in.
tomorrow is national do something nice day
It’s not really. Just act like a decent person. Don’t cause others suffering or harm just because it benefits you.
@August This.
My opinion might change tomorrow, a few years from now, when I move, when I'm old
No I mean it’s not context sensitive
oh lol
well my point was they legit ignore a dying child when nothing is at stake for helping them. while they all work together to save a cow
No I'm pretty sure it is.
Human children > Cows.
poor cow
The point is just because it furthers your cause, doesn’t mean you should do it. Especially if the road to your happiness is paved with the people you’ve let suffer.
if your car was as stake for helping that child you would already be fore less scummy than they are
why does the cow's life hold less value than a child's?
if you choose to ignore that child aswell
their lives are short enough as it is
how young is the child
i see what point you are trying to make but im not going to answer that because you already know why that child holds more value
Why is absolutely anything worth any form of value if everything has a time limit?
if you cant see it then im not waisting my time
guess what tomorrow is
See it’s that nihilistic point of view that leads to cruelty.
gues
s
Except it doesn't
“I mean I could pay my workers minimum wage so they can afford food and maybe even give them healthcare so they can be healthy. But instead I’ll pay them a few cents an hour and replace them when they die”
When it comes to philosophy I'm a weird combination between Objectivism, Humanism, and Existentialism.
Yeah
And guess what
what about the FISH philosophy
Its perfectly fine for an employer to do that
Yeah no it’s not.
Would you like to be treated like that?
