When it comes to law enforcement my philisoiphy is they should be enforcing the Constitution and carrying out lawful enforcement in general. Unfortunately there's a lot of poor instances of this, and a lot of good cases can be made for or against cops being decent - at least in America, that is. It's important to understand police officer's jobs in their position, likewise knowing what the civillians think of them and what they dislike about cops. I for example, for a photojournalism unit, went to 5 police stations throughout San Antonio and interviewed 10 police officers.

And it gaves some remarkable insight, as I got some crazy stories, and one instance of how a police officer they called on a scene to died in a 2007 bank robbery by a shotgun, stuff like that
